WHY “LEONARDO”?

Leonardo tries not to look like anyone and anything. Its aim is to be an unusual magazine, with an unpredictable periodicity, a random distribution, a surprising message and an atypical form. Synthesis of past and future, analysis of present. Shattering debate and constructive praise. Literature and music, history with painting, politics overlapping deliration.

Yelling and crying. Slap and caress. Caresses like a slap.

Scientific study and easy-going insolence. Footnotes and obscene gestures. Recent bibliography and snook.

Language-loving.

No ass-liking.

Small gossip between East and West. The place where Romania and Bessarabia conjointly swoop on the Schengen space. The address where the Occident discovers another face – more respectable, more cultivated, more attractive and more spectacular – of his young relatives at the gates of the Orient.

Only those contribute at Leonardo who are convinced of the truth that a good intellectual thinks globally and acts locally.

This is the place where you can find everything – but not for everybody.

We will have one enemy: the lie. We will have a good friend: the frankness.
